Wedding Videography F.A.Q.
What style of video do you create?
I always say that my videos are more of a Traditional/ Documentary style. With my newer cameras, the look is more cinematic, but my recording and editing are more Documentary. My main goal is to record the wedding day as it happens and to be able to present that back to the couple so they can watch it as it was.
How long is the final video?
Each wedding is unique, and because of that, there is no set length for how long a video might be. A wedding with a fifteen minute ceremony versus one with a fifty minute ceremony will have a shorter video.
When can I expect to get my video?
The average turn around time for a video is 2-4 months.
What format will the video be on?
You have the choice of either having the video on Blu-ray or DVD. Three copies are included with every package. Videos will also be streamed online for one year.
What kind of camera do you use?
I use the Lumix GH-3. It is a mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses. Designed by Panasonic to be used as event video cameras, they offer amazing HD video in a small package.
Do you bring back up equipment?
I always have at least two cameras with me. My audio gear is redundant, so if one doesn't work, I always have enough audio from the others.
Do you require a deposit to save the date?
Yes. No date is officially booked until the contract is signed and the deposit is paid.
When is the final payment due?
I break my payments into thirds. The first third is due as the deposit with the contract, the second payment is due 30 days before the wedding date, and the final payment is due 30 days after the wedding. These dates will be listed in the contract, and you will also get automatic e-mail reminders for when they are due.
