Photo Booth is Coming Back

10/1/2015

A couple of years ago when my friend was getting married, we had this idea of building a photo booth for his wedding.  As a result, I ended up building a photo booth with an old computer monitor, a web cam, some lights and plywood.  This photo booth was used at not only his wedding, but my other friend's wedding, some other weddings, my niece's sweet 16 party and some other events.  I was proud of myself for creating this booth.  The things that I didn't like about it though were that it was heavy, and it was not simple to set up.  My original goal was to build something that I could place in the trunk of a sedan, but it ended up being too big.  Too big, too heavy and too many parts.  This is when I started looking for a prebuilt solution that I liked, would be was for me or an assistant to set up and would be easy for people to use.

First, I found this program that was created for the iPad called SimpleBooth.  I purchased it about a year ago so I could play with it.  My conclusion is that it is the best photo booth program I have seen or used for it's ease of use and it's delivery method.  It can print, share to Facebook and twitter, send yourself an e-mail with your pics, it's great.  But the problem was finding a nice way to mount it with a light so it looked good.

Checking back with the creators of SimpleBooth, they created the perfect device.

The Halo stand is the perfect, elegant solution that I have been looking for.  Custom made to hold the iPad with a LED ring light to perfectly light the subjects.

I like open photo booths that can be setup anywhere, and this is that photo booth.  It can be used to share the photos right away, or print them out on a wireless printer.  All photos are saved and uploaded to drop box.  It is a fun to use and ease to setup.  My custom kit is on its way to me, and I will be posting photo booth pricing in the near future.  Great for weddings, birthday parties, or any event where people are having fun.  Contact me today to have a photo booth at your next event.
